Yves Brousseau, Director of Commercial Development and Technical Services at Ciment Quebec Inc., received the Fernand-Séguin distinction awarded by the Réseau environnement for its article entitled La solidification/stabilisation au ciment: un nouvel outil pour une gestion durable des sols contaminés (Solidification/Stabilization of Cement: A New Tool for the Sustainable Management of Contaminated Soils) published in Vecteur Environnement. Yves Brousseau co-wrote this article with Jean-Sébastien Dubé, Professor at the Construction Engineering Department at the ÉTS, and Éric Hardy, Geo-Environment Director at Qualitas Montérégie.
Unibeton won the Grand Prix for Innovation in Occupational Health and Safety for the development and implementation of an ice bascule in its ready-mixed concrete plants. With this bascule, ice blocks used to cool the concrete in the summer could be safely carried out, thereby reducing employee injury risks.

The distribution centre for refrigerated products is the first of its kind in Canada. Roller-compacted concrete (RCC) was used for the truck-loading and -unloading areas. This concrete, especially its formulation, has contributed to obtaining credits toward LEED® certification.

Unibeton produced the concrete needed for carrying out a project involving a reinforced concrete spiral staircase for the entrance hall of Imperial Tobacco Canada.
