Cement-Modified Soil (CMS)
Cement-Stabilized Base (CSB)
Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) with Cement
Technical Documents and Films
Full-depth reclamation with cement is similar to a cement-stabilized base (CSB), but where specific aggregates are used. These aggregates are produced by grinding and recycling the old asphalt surface and the granular materials of the foundation. The FDR enables the reproportioning of these materials. The on-site recycling of these materials is cost-effective, since it is 25% to 50% less expensive than removing and replacing the old asphalt layer. FDR generally contains 3% to 6% ProBASE™ cement.
