Engineered Soil Laying Equipment

An engineered soil can be made using laying equipment such as a continuous Pugmill mobile mixing plant or cement spreader-proportioner.

Pugmill Mixing Plant

Ciment Québec Inc. has two continuous Pugmill mixing plants. These plants are mobile and can be set up on a construction side in a few hours. This type of mixer generally produces between 275 and 450 metric tonnes per hour.

A Pugmill mixer runs continuously being supplied with aggregates, water and cement. Operations are computer-controlled to obtain a precise proportioning.

A Pugmill mixer provides a homogenous mix of CSB given the intensive mixing action. The mixture is transported by truck and applied on site.

Spreader-Proportioner

Ciment Québec Inc. operates cement spreader-proportioners in Quebec, the Maritimes and the United States. This equipment is very useful for proportioning and distributing a large quantity of cement directly onto the soil, thereby providing an engineered soil that meets project requirements. Operations are computer-controlled to obtain a precise proportioning.
