Book Launch Gustave Papillon – Building Ciment Québec

It is with great pride that Ciment Québec invited, on June 20, its employees and the population of St-Basile to the launching of Gustave Papillon – Building Ciment Québec, a book about the man who, in everyone’s’ opinion, represented the soul of Ciment Québec for more than fifty years.

This beautiful project held at heart for a long time to the President and CEO of Ciment Québec inc., Luc Papillon. “It was a privilege for me to have rubbed shoulders with the man that I consider out of the ordinary and to have benefited from his vast experience and, above all, his desire to pass on his knowledge to ensure the sustainability of the company he had built. I wished to leave a record of who my father was and what he achieved, a man who brought into his vision and achievements his own father, his sons, and the thousands of people who at one time or another belonged to the Ciment Québec family.’’ During this event, guests learned more about the main steps leading to the realization of this work by the project coordinator Jean-Denis Boillat, the editor Marie-Elaine Gadbois, Jean Poirier, the Mayor of the municipality of St-Basile and Luc Papillon. Gustave Papillon – Building Ciment Québec is the story of a great man, the main actor of a major Portneuf industry whose reputation and successes are reaching far beyond local borders. To share this story of vision, determination and success, Ciment Québec provided a copy of the book to each St-Basile families, each employee of the Group (actual and retired) as well as clients and main suppliers.
